Back to work!
Well, it was a busy day today, as we went to a Log Base to do PDA's on some outgoing troops!
The log base was close to Abu Garab prison that was in the news, so it was cool to see where things are that have been talked about in the news. It has been a long day, and I think that I better sleep well tonite, because last night I woke up @ 2:30am, and could not get back to sleep, but it seems to be an every other night thing here still getting used to sleeping when I should be awake. I have been charged when we get the new round of PDA training for units to head up the group from Baghdad south, which consists of the 3rd ID, who also just arrived, but they are based at Ft. Stewart, which is where I was on active duty, so I will come across units that I know, and that is cool! I'll leave it at that so I can call my wife!
Later,
Erik

The election, as you can imagine, is front page news here. You're definitely in the middle of history in the making. Hopefully, this is a positive step that will lead to stability and peace in the region and elsewhere.
Keep up the great work and the postings.

Hi Erik,
All we see over here are pictures of people from Iraq dancing in the streets. They have the biggest smiles on their faces and I can only imagine what they are feeling in their hearts! Never forget that you guys have so much to do with this.
I get my cast off tomorrow. I have a bunch of frequent flyer miles. I need a winter vacation. I hear it's warming up over there. It would be fun to join in the dancing. Do it for me, my dear!
My love and prayers are always with you,
Anne
