YEEEEEHAWWWWW!!!!!!!!

Sorry I'm a bit lacking in my posts these days, as the lazy bug has gotten a hold of me since I have been back. That is the problem with going out to these places away from civilization at Victory. You get out of the routine you were in before you left, not to mention sleeping patterns are different and it is harder to wake up in the morning. You spend so much time waiting for flights, and all flights are at night for the most part, and when I say at night I really mean in the MORNING. Like 1-2am!! So you spend your time waiting on space A flights, and sometimes you don't even get on them, so you sleep or try to on the concrete or dirt or chair or you dont and you try again the next day! Put it this way, I was out 7 days on the last mission, and I really only worked for 2 of those days, well worked at my job. We are such a vagabond group, and we travel on a whim, so you spend all your time checking flights to here or there trying to get to somewhere where yu can get another flight to somewhere, and so on, and so on, and so on.......
You really don't know what what kind of air transportation you are gonna get, but you would fly on a Mesopotamian crow if it would hold you to get out of some of these places!
Anyways, this post is supposed to be about the concert of Toby Keith that was here the other night and was broadcast on the Academy of Country Music Awards. Sorry I didn't say anything, but I know my wife watched and said she saw a bunch of heads that could have looked like mine. I don't know what that was implying, but considering the Haji that cut my hair that day, I was kind of mad, because when you shave to skin up half way above my ears and he keeps going, good things are not gonna come out of that haircut trip. Neither is a tip, but I felt bad and gave him one anyways! Back to the concert! A lot of people showed up for this, and it was acoustic, but I actually DID recognize a few songs, and he sings a lot of patriotic tunes we have heard with all the pomp and circumstance of being deployed. Cool though, and if anyone watch the ACMA's it was shown from Camp Victory, and I was there! Hunter says he saw me, but he said his mom missed that part! Oh well, I didn't see it, so I don't know, but I was UNDER a tree, so he must have good eyes! Good times though and he's got good songs, and we appreciate him coming over, because he is one of the most popular in country music! New pics!
Other than that, it is hot as HELL here now, and the wind sometimes makes it feel like a furnace vent, but I got a whole truckload of rock to spread today, and I have no idea who ordered them, but some Haji came to the door and said somebody had ordered them for our building, but no one knew who so I told where to dump them and I claimed them. My rock now. Time to rock and roll! BTW, Haji's are locals, and that is what we call them! Relax Missy, or anyone else!
Later,
Erik

SGT Holtan -

Looks like a great haircut to me! Thanks for looking out for Justin for me - you know how kids can be. Like I told him, I have half a mind to get a spot over there myself to look out for him first hand - but, I's smarter then that...I think.

Take Care,
MAJ B
