OK, today is self portrait Friday, and we are all taking part here. It is supposed to be of us blogging! I had Curt take pictures right after lunch, and we had the Mexican cuisine today, which included a big helping of Jalepenos on top of my chicken quesadillas, and my refried beans. Needless to say a good BLOWOUT was to be had! Now that I am more relaxed I can look at the pics he took, and see which one is most appropriate for SPF. I chose this one, even though I did post the rabid one on Flickr, because I noticed the glare on top of my head after he took it. Well, my wife chides me about the "thinning" spot on top of my dome, and says she likes it along with my gray hairs, which is the reason I ALWAYS keep it short. She likes me to show my grays. But I don't get that many pictures of the back of my head, so I had to examine the damage. It looks like a little Ronco brown hairspray infommercial stuff is in order.
Oh well. I want everyone to take a look at the picture right above my computer screen and see if you can, the cool couple that are my wife and I before we were married, and when we were "courting" or probably even before that when we used to be in the same NG unit in MN. That is where we met. Once we got married she got out, but we had good times while she was in though. Anyways, the photo is of us before going to the field at annual training, and I had Paul Stanley(Kiss) cammo on my face which I did a different character every day. It was my protest, because all through active duty, we NEVER wore face paint, and even now in real war we don't, but in the NG they try to be hard core and we always have to wear it in the field! Oh well, and yes, I did get in trouble for wearing it, and as a matter of fact it was by a female LTC that because of her make up when she brought it up to me out in the field, I think I said "What was that SIR?" So double trouble was had!
AHHHH! The good ol days!
