All Spider bites today baby!

- These pictures are of my newest creation/landscape project! PDHA Bridge! This might be about it, because I have finally used all the rock that had been piled up for months. Perhaps my proudest achievement is the smaller tree you can see in the pic of me to the left just on the edge of the pic! 2 months ago there was NOTHING there, and now that thing is growing like mad, and you can see the new bridge, and the nice green weeds along the creek valley! That was the goal to get something to grow! PARADISE??????????

-A special thanks to Ron and Sue from Hamburg NY, who have been great to myself and Missy and the kids! I didn't know them before the deployment, but I am glad they took the time out of their lives to check in once in awhile, and offer assistance! I got the latest care package today!
Thank you! Also, Cathie, from Pennsylvania who is thinking about her own son who is over here, yet still sends me a great care package with Reeses PB cups, and Pennsylvania candy!
Thanks Cathy, I will continue to send Dan our things when we are done with them!

-Well, today is the big ceremony up in St. Cloud MN for the BCT from MN who consist of many from my unit at home! That will probably mean with me gone now, and them gone when I get home, I won't see some of my friends for a couple years total. I miss a lot of them and hope they stay safe in their mission! Although I want to introduce you all to new military bloggers from my unit! Dan B.(D-rock) and Shannon(Tiger). Keep track of them and keep them in your thoughts and prayers! D-rock and I are good friends, and I am gonna miss taking his $ via the golf course! Dude, why would you even WANT to accept my bets? You know the outcomes ahead of time! Oh well,I am sure with me not playing golf this year, you have surpassed my abilities!

-I did get another mention in the arcticle in the StarTribune today, and even though my man spelled my name wrong(Erick), I thank him for the mention! The article was about this weeks deployment from MN, and soldiers putting life on hold! I know there are a lot already deployed, but this week is the WORST!! The anticipation, and anxiety of the week before you leave sucks! It comprimises a lot of quality family time!

-My wife added a little by phone in the thoughts of yesterdays marination thoughts!
I use her advice as to what families need more of! I think the fact that SOME people don't like to ASK for help when they normally don't need it, and when people like me leave, the spouse is used to NOT asking for it, and maybe has a hard time admitting they need help! Well, plenty of folks say if you need help ASK! Well, it is an adjustment and my wife, on top of what I wrote yesterday, is thinking some type of support should be imposing! Call HER and tell HER you are gonna help with SOMETHING! (Using her as an example). Don't wait til the things get to be overwhelming! Also, we have FSG's(Family Support Groups), but everyone is in the same boat, they know what each other are going through, but with NG/Reserve families are a lot more spread out, sometimes in the next state!

-Sports bites-------The Gophers beat a Florida team yesterday 46-7! Unfortunately it was Florida Atlantic! (Who?) Oh well! -------Vikings play at 9pm tonight and are on AFN Atlantic!
It's kind of like they are on Sunday nights game every week! If they are on! Oh well, they better frickin win! ----Is the NHL started yet? I saw the Wild beat Phoenix 7-0!! Yeah, I miss hockey now!!

Being that I have planned my day all the way through, I am gonna go running/rucking around the big lake, which will end at the pool! I will take a dip!(Not Kodiak, well..maybe), then go down, play some Gamecube, watch a movie and come back up here to watch the Vikes!

*****Update: Just finished watching the Vikings game, and it is only halftime! I think the Vikings offense has done a lot of watching as well! FROM THE SIDELINE!!!!
I am no band wagon jumper, but they SUCK! I mean REALLY SUCK! I think Mike Tice, who I always supported, doesn't cut it! At least I don't have to stay up and watch anymore games!
