Let's recap!

OK, I know I am draggin this homecoming out, but I personally have no control over it, and I know my wife is getting impatient, and I guess that is good for me huh?
So probably my final post before the reunion tommorrow, I will put a recap of the places and the journey to this point. It has really only been less than 2 weeks since I left Baghdad, so I can't complain about it dragging, and I have gotten rest along the way so I should be fresh when I get home.
-I will start with the goodbye from BIAP in Iraq. Yes, it was emotional. I mean emotionally EXCITING to leave it! That is the last place I had to wear my body armor before turing it in, in Kuwait!
-Next is the brief visit to Kuwait, and the reunion with some of our MN friends. Of course THEY can all wear civilian clothes like their back on the block in Kuwait, that was a highlight of waiting in Kuwait going to Arifjan(Disneyworld)!
-Next is the landing at Bliss here in El Paso, where we have had a chance to get our bearings, and become more civilianized!
-Finally, in advance I am putting up a Google Earth Image of where I should be sleeping tommorrow night. My home! I know my family is anxious for me to get home and I am anxious to get there. Of course there will not be leaves on the trees and the ground will be white cause of snow! My flight is scheduled to get into Mpls. at about 1:45pm!
Well, Sunday brought us to Tony Romas to watch the Vikes beat the Lions, and that was a good time. Then we went to Cattleman's Steakhouse about 30 mile away from El Paso. It is an actual working ranch and is where they filmed such movies as Courage Under Fire, and Resurrection!
The steak was AWESOME. We had a good time!
Other than that, I don't have much today, but everyone enjoy your week!
Later,
Erik
