Presidents Day!

This longer 3 day Presidents weekend for some of us is wrapping up today and I think we had a lot of fun. Last night we stayed at a hotel for my mom Shirleys ?0th Bday and we went to the Mall of America a couple times to Camp Snoop..........uh oh, The Park at Mall of America. Of course it is no longer called Camp Snoopy because namiong rights came into play and not enough money was accepted from either side. So, simply they took all the Peanuts characters out and it is just a no name indoor amusement park. Up until this weekend Hunter being the daredevil he is, was afraid to go on any adult rides so we always watch him on the kids rides. Well, yesterday he had the guts to try the regular roller coaster and although tame, he now LOVES it, and so much that we went back today to let him and Madison and myself go on it a couple times and get wet on the Flume ride! It was pretty fun and then it was home to get ready for the 4 day week this week. I actually have to go do some military stuff next weekend so it is not so short of a week for me but that is OK! Other than that, and we are trying to get Kendall walking before our spring break down to Hilton Head South Carolina that we are all excited to go on! She is doing about a step at a time, which I guess we all do but she takes 1 step and that is it for now, but it is progress.
I have mentioned my buddy Dan(Drock) a couple times, and he is among the next generation of war heroes getting ready to go to Iraq with the MNARNG and his site gets updated by his beautiful wife Emily, and she is getting some national press in the Chicago Tribune, as she writes articles concerning a loved one deployed! Go show some love to the Bari's and then as she says go to the Chicago Tribunes site and search for her!
Leave those guys a comment to show how much you do appreciate their sacrifice since mine is done!
Everyone have a great start to the week!
Later,
Erik

Looks like the kids had a great time on the rides!
Have a great week.
Erik, Erik, Erik. Of course I make money off my opinions - with over a thousand submissions a day and 2 million subscribers, you bet the Chicago Trib pays me for that stuff. But it does make me awfully proud to be married to a great soldier who has some really great soldier buddies (and spouses) so that makes it even easier to write about.
The fundraising at O'Gara's was sponsored by www.servingourtroops.com. That's really all I can tell you. Apparently they did something for the troops in Kosovo, too. Have a good one!
EJB (I'm blushing cause you called me beautiful... aw shucks)
Great pic of you and kids. Glad you had a fun weekend!
I wondered what everyone was calling Camp Snoo.... errrr, the amusement park now. LOL.
When are you going to SC??? Because we are too! Not Hilton Head though - too $$ there for us. LOL. We are doing Myrtle Beach - the same resort we've gone to since 1994. The kids have all but grew up there. (We drive... are you?)
Great pictures of you all.
I am so happy you had a great weekend. The weekend is wonderful on this end as well. So It is no longer Camp Snoopy huh that is pretty much bull how long has it been there and now you have to change it. Crazy have a good week.
Thanks so much for the nice comment you left on my site. Even thought the kids begin to think you are ancient when you get to be in your 40's, I don't feel like I am that old. That made my day.
Thanks
Barb
