Baghdad!

We arrived in to Baghdad at about midnight to the darkness of the night, and we were awake all night thanks to somebody leaving a mysterious bag outside the tent. We had to evacuate until EOD gave the all clear!
Anyways, we were picked up and arrived at Camp Victory to the sites that actually are pretty cool! You can definately see some damage at the airport from the attacks, and some palaces on the way have plenty of damage, but our camp is at Baghdad Intl Airport, and as you drive, the focal point of our base is the presidental palace, which is just gorgeous, and we went inside to be greeted by marblt perfection, and crystal chandeliers! Amazing, and weird to be walking around with dirty shoes, but they have sweepers follow you to keep it clean! Also, I sat on the royal throne, well, I took a dump in one of Saddam's toilets! So that was cool!
Also, we got a picture taken by one of his actual thrones, and the grounds, aside from the blown up bridge over the moat, looks like Epcot, with the lake around the palace, and little mini palaces on the shore! Really beautiful, and the air is cleaner in Iraq then Kuwait!
