Weekend!
Well, today we have off til 11am, and then we go to mounted Land Navigation course! That will goo until it's dark, because we have to qualify at night also! Yesterday, we did the dismounted Land Nav. course and that was cool, but long and tiring! It's cool to do it out in the desert though! No snakes, but for some reason I had nightmares about snakes last night!
Our Officer in charge, Major Reese, was taken off this mission for health reasons, and they called up Cpt. Pagenkopf, in MN to replace her, so he is probably scurriing around in MN getting ready! See you soon! Major Reese, we will miss you on this mission, and you know that by now, but just think, you got to speak on the same stage as the governor!
Anyways, no news on when we leave, but probably at the end of next week, so time is going quick! At the land nav course yesterday I was teamed w/ Sgt Torgerson, and the 1SG, and tht was a recipe for arguing! We passed easily, but man, we sure argued a lot, because we are very different in our styles! But of course, mine is the right style!

Good Morning Sweetheart. Hope all is going well, it sounds like you are enjoying the desert, which of course doesn't surprise me.
Everyone says to say hello from the Skillings clan. We celebrated mom's birthday, the big 57. I am sure she appreciates me letting the viewing public know.
The kids are going to post something tonight after the game, for your sake hopefully the Vikes win. Your daughter has reserved all bragging rights if not.
The kids seemed a bit off yesterday, but I guess we are going to have those days. Somewhat sad and yet they really don't want to dwell on things. Other than that, we are taking it one day at a time.

We got Anne set up with the computer yesterday. Hopefully, she will now have regular access to the site.
