Procrastination

I have to apoligise for something I have been guilty of for the past couple of months. I have received quite a few letters from very giving folks, and for the adults I know you understand if I don't get back to you with emails and letters, but I have gotten a lot from kids in schools in MN and from over the country, and I need to let you know I do get them, and I will try to reply to ALL of them in some way before the school year lets out! The sands are running low now towards the end of the school year, and I will put my best foot forward. I will recognize some of them now in my site: The HOPE group in Perham MN who sent me a HUGE heavy care package that had a lot of Beanie Babies to pass out to Iraqi children! They are about half gone now, but I did keep the Randy Moss one for myself, and now it will be a collectors item, so maybe I will sell it and give the $ to the kids! Kidding, but thank you! Also, Paula Camerons 3rd grade class at St. Peters school in Forest Lake MN for the care package with the letters and treats. They are almost gone! The treats I mean! Also, Madisons class of 3rd graders in Tim Hall's class at Cottage Grove Elementary. They sent beautiful letters to me and the soldiers, and I also was able to visit their class when I was home on R&R! Thank you Tim!
There are kids in the Sauk Center school district who I got some letters to reply to from CPT Yost in Afghanistan! I gottem Brian and I will reply to them ASAP!
I have gotten letters from kids from ALL over the country from Vermont to California, and if they had email addresses I have replied to them! We also got blankets when we left fro Chippewa M.S. in Shoreview MN before we left, and I know we still have people who use them now! Thanks!
There have been churches who also send well wishes from Riverview Baptist in St. Paul MN who got my name on their prayer list from Gael, who was our nurse at United Hospital in St. Paul, and she has family in the Armed Forces. Thanks Gael for remembering us! You were great!
Also, the Church of St. Paul in Ham Lake MN, my former church and the place I got married at that my inlaws attend! Thanks for the prayers and the package. Anne and Martha Cianchette, thank you for the numerous packages, and the birthday club of my mother Shirley and fellow self made factory workers Carole, Peg, Eilee, Judy, Allison, and Sandy who sent neck coolers made from scratch! I will get those to people in need soon! Thanks to Leo Poehlng for the donation for those items! If I forgot anyone I am sorry, but I do appreciate everything, and I always get crap because I get so much mail! Keep it coming though, I love it! Mis, I get the most from you and the kids, and that is my favorite! You the best wife I ever had!
That's all from here, and I want to say good luck to SFC Dodge who is leaving E co. in CG to head to Brainerd to work full time in the Armor Bn. I will miss you bro. and thanks for all the hard work you and the boys put in in advance of this deployment! Also, the support you have given to us while we are gone! You will be missed brother, but we'll always keep in touch! It was nice talking to you today! See you sooner than you know! Over here I mean!
Take Care,
Erik

Hi Erik,

Minnessota whether is getting pretty old. Most days are cool and windy and up in the north country it has been rainy. I guess it is making up for the lack of rain in April. Today was beautiful though; the sky is blue thier is no wind and the lake is calm. It looks like a postcard picture. The boys are excited because they only have 3 days of school left and then we get to play. Work has been very busy for Darrin lately which is good I guess. This past weekend Darrin had a 4 wheeler ride with Tim and Annie, Chad (Tims friend) and Matt. They had a lot of fun going through the mud, trees and ponds. Needless to say they were all covered from head to toe in mud. Matt took a washcloth with him so he could keep his 4 wheeler clean it didn't work to well though as you can imagine. Well thats all the new news that I can think of. Take care and God Bless.
Love Always
Jill

Well I guess you have made up the lack of posting with length. I am glad you posted. I was in Dallas last week and I check multiple times but there was nothing. I get back and boom.
Do you have access to a VCR? I dont think my computer is going to have the horsepower to convert the tape to DVD.
Missy Dayton was at his event on saturday, well at least long enough to talk to fox 29 news. Do you want me to talk to anyone? Thinking about that kept me up all night on friday. Then I didnt get to go with you.
Ryan
