I wanted to bring some pictures back from when I went on leave and some older pics from Iraq, because I can put more pics on flickr now, and I I have pics peope might not have seen.
So this theme I put on today is for my chitlins. I am so proud of how they are doing when I have been away so far! I took these pics on leave, and we had a great time at the hotel before I left. But I have been getting their report cards, and hearing the things they have been up to and I am happy they are stepping into their own while I'm gone! I know it is hard for them sometimes, but for their age they are so strong. I Love You Guys!
Anyways, just finding ways around here to keep busy with worthwile stuff, and our North Cakalacan will be gone in 3 weeks. That will be bittersweet for them because they will miss me, but I won't miss them! Take that G!!!
Also, I wanted to mention something that would be not a big deal to most, but I have to say that the US millitary have some of the most selfless, polite people in the world. I mean,I road march back to my room at night, for exercise, and I carry a big backpack by hand. So it looks heavy, and it is, but by design. Well, I cannot make it ANY night without AT LEAST 4 cars stopping and asking for a ride. It is not something you see in the states, and I understand in some ways, but people will give up their own things to somebody else, even if they have little left. I just wanted to mention that, because I give military people a bad rap sometimes, for being selfish by staying in for the benefits, and not the pride, but people have shown me a lot.
