Monday frolicking!
Well, I will start off with the one of the most favorite movie jokes I have ever heard! Everyone has probably heard it as well, but I remember one time I was home watching TV and my wife was in the bedroom, and I was out in the livingroom watching "What about Bob?" Which I don't know who doesn't like it, but he was at the mental institution at the end, and was suppose to be the patient, and he was telling the docs jokes, and he said "Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm a schizophrenic, and so am I!" I just love that one!
So anyways yesterday we had the BBQ and it was pretty fun! I guess some of the people are afraid of water cause they didn't want to get wet, but Curt and I love to swin, so about 6 or 7 of us actually swam, but we had ribs, chicken, steak, hot dogs, and all the fixins or whatever they say! Good times!
So anyways, today I finally got a box sent home, and I have procrastinated for so long, but I bought some tshirts for the kids, and some of the souvineers I have gotten, and believe me, I am not a big fan of souvineers from this region! They don't really have anything my wife or I would like, HOWEVER, if something is on clearance, I'm buying it!
Now, I know also people have asked me whether I am going to blog after I return home,a nd I can't really answer that, as I am not really a multi tasker at home, and I don't know how much time I will spend on the computer when I get home! Who knows, I have some type of plan, and as with me, I will announce it at that time, not that the whole world is waiting with baited breath to hear what I am gonna do! The focus and content will no longer be military, and I do havesome ideas when I get home as to what it will be! The way I work, is I just don't do things half ass, or with a little effort, I find something I want to concentrate on and then kick ass! I can't kick ass at 2 things at once, that is what I call non multitasking! So I suppose when I get back I need to get a job, and find out what trips my trigger, and see what my wife wants to do! I had another weird dream that RIGHT when I got home I was immediatly named to manager of a Burger King! And NO, that is NOT the line of work I plan on going into! I don't know WHY I had a dream about being a Burger King worker, as I don't really like Burger King! Great now all the Burger King supporters are going to be on my ass!
Lets all give thoughts to CAT and her family as they are in the Hurricanes path down on the bayou, and I guess we have been emailed by higher here to let us know to make sure families are taken care of in that region, so it must be a big storm! And pray that the storm does not damage Grand Casino in Gulfport MS., nor ANY of the fun places in New Orleans, but maybe that it cleans the crappy water of the mighty Mississippi!

Anyhoo, don't knock BK. I love that restaurant. I went TWICE on Friday for Icee Cokes cause my air conditioning was out and my daughter and I were going to garage sales (oh, and that was breakfast and lunch so no comments please).
As for life after getting home, your old job will not be there any more? I don't know what you used to do but I guess I had it in my mind that they were supposed to hire you back. Uh, silly me? Man I have so many questions for you. Maybe I should make a list on my blog someday. "Interview Erik Day." I'll let you know. :)

I was a stay at home dad before I left, or these days people have titles, and I guess I was a household engineer! Or at least a outside the household engineer! Being that I liked cleaning, and things like that that had to do with the OUTSIDE of my house!
I did however do great laundry, in terms of putting the laundry in the washer and dryer, after that I am not a big folding clothers type guy! My wife folds clothes bettr!

I hate Burger King, but if you want to be the manager of a Burger King, so be it. We'll come visit you in MN. You'll know us b/c we'll be decked in out Packers gear driving a big old geen suburban with a "G" on the hood.
Just kidding, I know that's not what you want to do.

Erik as for titles, I go by Domestic Goddess! I believe it suits me well! LOL
I just can't picture you going cold turkey from the blogging world...though I know you will want to spend every waking moment with your family, I hope you don't quit blogging. You are good at it.

Erik - a household engineer! I love it - I bet your kids miss you more than ever (not to mention the wife!). As for not blogging when you get back to the states, we would understand that, but you'll have to check in.

Hey Erik: I am going to send you a care package and I am going to put some stuff in it from Pa. I am going to send you locally made candy because I know you like chocolate and I am going too send you a lump of coal that is carved into a coal bucket. It is just a small knick knack type thingee. When you get home you can put it on your bar as a conversation piece. You'll always remember A MIlitary Mom gave it to you. Thanks for sending Dan the magazines. You are the greatest.
