SPROUTING!

Today is family day, and I seem to be in a decent mood, but in the past week or 2 I have been a little burnt as I stated yesterday! I guess I can see it when instead of being cheerful or looking at the bright side I see the negative in things. I feel like a democrat in that way! That was for YOU, anonymous KATE! So I feel I should not say anything once in awhile if I have the negative opinions! I mean, you have to rememeber that as shocking as those pictures and video from N.O. are, over here some people see that everyday, and soldiers have seend such poorness and destruction, and death that I guess it makes us a little used to it, and not as shocked!
Everyone go to Cat's site, and wish her and the family well, they seemed to have come through it very fortunate!
OK, so last week was the first week of school for my kids, and they were very excited to to start! I know I just hated school, so I am glad my kids don't take that from me, and they are VERY good at it! But the picture of them standing up is the first day of school and they look hip!
Man, they are getting so big to me, and showing a picture from today, compared to even when I left is just AMAZING how fast they grow! It makes me miss them when I see they have grown so much! I mean Kendall was less than 2 weeks old when I came back here, and now look at her! And my wife just get more beautiful every time I see her!
If you read yesterdays posts, and saw her comment and that she disagreed with me on the N.O. opinion, I called her last night and she thought I would be mad for her posting that, but that is what I love sometimes in her, is her independance, and all the crap she has gone through this year she is getting her MOJO back! I Love the MOJO she has, and wouldn't mind putting my MOJO in her! With that, I will escape to the land of "hope she doesn't kill me for saying that"
Later,
Erik

We all have those days.
The pictures of your beautiful children, I bet, are lifting your spirits. Your baby is growing with leaps and bounds. I remember the newborn pic you posted here.
I can't imagine what our military stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan see. Dan told me a story, just yesterday, and he said the whole time it was going on, he keep saying to himself I can't believe I am in the middle of this.
I am bummed out just from what I see on tv, about Katrina, and knowing what I can do is really not that much, just give money.
Stay safe Erik.

Erik,
Your family IS beautiful and I can only imagine how you must miss them (and how dearly they miss you too).
The mental picture of what our soldiers see over in the sandboxes is not a pretty one...such devastation. And now that we see it here in our country, it's impossible to fathom that this is normal life for people in some countries.
Keep on thinking of that beautiful family Erik. And stay safe my friend.

Your oldest DD looks just like you... :)

Hope my post brought a smile to your grumpy face yesterday. Did you notice my only comment was "Wow look at the marble in those bathrooms!" LOL... or something as such.

You know... basically ignoring the arguing. Doing the whole, hands behind the back, rubber necking the walls and whistling innocently. ;)

negative = democrat? Is that how you see it? Interesting. Yeah, I guess I can see that. Sometimes I feel like a downer when I talk about my work - or about the issues going on in the world. I get feedback that I'm just so "heavy" - poor Johnny has to deal with it. It's probably better to say "hey, I'm alive. Life is good. Never mind what's happening around me - my life is good so man let's all sing and dance." Wouldn't want to bring anyone down. Reminds me of the presidential inaugeration. Let's spend 5 billion dollars to celebrate the re-election . . . never mind that we're at war and soldiers are dying.
Oops. Am I being too negative?

I'll work on being more positive. Don't want to see my glass half empty (of beer).
