Deals!!

Took the bus ride again to Camp Arifjan again today, and hung out there visiting our Minnesota friends and we stayed the whole day, and did some things we wanted to that we looked at Thursday. I got a lot of shopping done, and I really don't care that the watches are fake.
I know the gold is real however, and 21 karot or whatever so that is something I wanted to get while I was around. You, they have it in Iraq as well, but I could never find the right stuff. I or my wife are not bling bling type people so getting these gaudy things that is hip just is not what I am looking for. Besides, I don't need a big rope chain with a big E on the end. But some peeps do so that is fine with me. All in all, I am NOT a big fan of the arabic type trinkets or antiques. It just is not my style, but the stuff is very unique at least, and if I WAS into it, I would have a field day shopping. They do have a Hard Rock cafe in Kuwait City, and we are lucky enough to be able to get memorabilia in all the PX's from it. Yes, as if the Hard Rock cafe was not already expensive on their memorabilia, they bring it to the low price leaders at AAFES! That was a joke. I have a shot glass selection by my bar in the basement, and I really want the Kuwait HRC shot glass, but it is $15 frickin dollars. Oh well, I will probably end up getting it!
Now that I have gotten used to posting pictures every post, I find posts without from me boring, but maybe ya'll don't care, so that is why I am posting our doings and goings on during these days of waiting. And for anyone at home that is wondering when the exact day I come home yet will be, I have NO idea. My wife doesn't either, and I won't know when I will be clear with outprocessing til the day before. You clear SRC then you get the plane ticket the next day! Not like when I am with a whole unit and they play Lee Greenwood, and walk across the parade field to awaiting families and everyone is crying and all that. I will simple call my wife and tell her that I am done and then probably fly the next day! Simple, but not a lot to plan with. What can you do? We'll cross that bridge when we come to it, and Mis asked me today what my expectations were for seeing people and the like, and I have not really thought about it myself, and I appreciate that she is working that angle for me. I guess I am very set in my ways, and she knows that, and probably doesn't want me stressed about something that shouldn't be stressful! I will probably have a big party towards the end of Dec. ( I know it is the holidays), but all the people that deployed with me should be back, and the 1st BCT people from MN should be home on leave before they head over, so it would be nice to see some of those friends before they go become war heroes! You know I will keep you posted.
