We had a BALL!!!!!!

Friday night was our brigades OEF/OIF recognition ball for the peeps like me that have been deployed most recently. I have to say it was alot of fun and the rest of the weekend spending time with my lovely wife was great.
The ball was held at the Hilton Airport Hotel by the Mall of America in Bloomington, and for all of us that were deployed the festivities, including our nights stay Friday, were paid for, so that was very appreciated.
We got all dressed up and I was the man for carrying the Guidon for our company into the festivites before the dinner. It was a pretty official in the traditions of military balls, and the proper courtesy during all the courses of the meal. We had fun seeing people like Torgerson and Pavel, (who I put a picture of up with her man "friend"). I would have put Torgersons pics on but for now I think we are keeping her Ft. Bragg hero, on the downlow!
So anyways, I was able to see alot of folks I hadn't seen in awhile, whether they were here when I was gone or gone when I was here. Good times, and does my wife not look beautiful!
My uniform was a little long in the sleeves, and the jacket is pretty big, but I did not have too much time to get alterations done.
Well, we stayed last night at the Hilton again as well, and it was nice to relax a bit without the kids. As it goes I have tommorrow I am off with the rest of the government employees. You don't think I didn't time it by starting last week and already having a paid day off? I did, but either way I am still loving my job!
Good to see Dan(Drock) posting on my comments from down in Mississippi, I like to hear from Emily, Dan's wife, but it is good to know Dan has time to look up his own site! Go say hi to them!
