Real Quick Like.

Ok, I said when I got back that we are not the greatest picture taker, and we have lived up to the billing since I have been home. Usually, it is because the dang batteries are always DEAD when I get time to take a picture. So instead of rehashing Iraq, I won't, unless I am in the mood.
Case i point, today I went to the kids school and they have been having these Olympics along with the real Olympics, and today was the closing ceremony and I guess they needed a "War Hero" to help put the medals on the kids. SO I got dressed up and went from work. Well, I gave Missy the camera that I for sure brought with so I wouldn't forget, and I should have made sure the batterys weren't dead, casue as it was starting I see Missy wave in the back, "The batterys are dead!" Dang it!
And putting medals on with me were SGT Dahlblom, who I brought with and we also had a real Olympic hero, from the 1972 US Olympic Hockey Team with a Silver Medal from Sapporo Japan. That was cool, so I got to hold an Olympic Silver medal. That was cool for me. I also got to put a Bronze Medal around Madisons neck and a Silver around Hunters! Very Proud I am of them, and as I was doing it to Madison, she made it VERY clear to me to Please don't hug her in front of the whole school. Well, thanks Madison, I think I WILL! Both of them didn't want me to hug them in front of their friends! I tried, and gave half hugs!
When I get pics from the gym teacher I will post them!
Oh yeah, I won $50 on a scratch off tonight, was I suppose to tip the convenience store worker? Gosh, I didn't, but should I have?
Have a great night!
Later,
Erik

Yeah, tip him for being able to tear it off the preforated roll??? I think NOT! (So I am a little angry today!)

Know what you mean about the battery issue... I think Duracel, Energizer, Rayovac - they are all crap... what is it - the "lets see who can scam people for as much money as (insert oil company)" business mentality?

Finally - on a positive note... glad you had a good day bein' a hero! MacDaddy Enrique had an olympic moment - GRAND! No really, I am happy for you - sounds like an interesting day - I am GLAD you embarassed your kids by trying to hug them! Fa' Shizzow!

Glad you had fun with the kids today - that's always cool - and it's cool to be hugged by your Dad no matter how old you are... (maybe one doesn't realize that until you are older - sorry Madison - but it's cool to get hugs from your parents!)

Tip the clerk at the gas station? Hell no! LOL.

As for the camera, I can't imagine my husband even bringing a camera, much less checking batteries. In our household I'm the one that does all that... if I forget, it's my problem. ;)

Don't beat yourself up too much. The school will give you photos and there ya go!

PS:
In regards to your comment to me this morning... no, don't dig for it. Seriously. Save it for MB yourself! :)

I do not think you are supposed to tip the clerk, but I know you are supposed to mail me 50% of all winnings.
